2015 Gelato Seminars

Within the Gelato Seminars held from the 16th to 20th of March 2015, we presented the latest products for the ice cream, confectionery and baking industries, together with associated technological novelties.

This season, we are promoting healthy food. Gelato, salute, amore - Ice cream, health, joy. With this motto, the 2015 Gelato Seminars were organised together with such companies as Fabbri 1905, Valmar Global, Miran Wafel, Coldelite and ICB Tecnologie. They were held once again in Wrocław, Gliwice, Cracow and Rzeszów.

The participants were convinced that ice cream may be tasty and healthy by our experienced duet of technologists - Szymon Wolański and Raffaele Derosa from Fabbri, a company that is famous for using only natural food colouring. Moreover, 90 percent of goods produced by this Italian manufacturer do not contain gluten. The range of product dedicated to people on gluten-free diet was also presented by Firma Miran Wafel.

We also seized the opportunity to present a wide range of products without animal products, which usually consist of milk and eggs. We showed cream-flavoured ice cream made using soy milk, and the chocolate-flavoured ice cream based on water. Both flavours of ice cream for vegans and people suffering from protein allergies received a warm reception.

Yet, the seminars were not only about gelato and ice cream. Our technologists also showed the ways of using the products by Fabbri in the production of praline. Pralines with different fillings, including fruit, took the participants by surprise with their authentic taste and great forms. The preparation work on these treats was made easier with the tempering machine by ICB Tecnologie which ensured delicious chocolate with perfect consistency.

Of course, the live shows were a must. The visitors could observe the process of ice cream making with the use of state of the art equipment produced by Valmar Global and taste the latest products by Fabbri. Chewing gum-flavoured ice cream in pink and blue was all the rage. Ice creams with the flavour of: Italian Pannettone sweet bread loaf, pine nuts and Sicilian Cannoli based on Ricotta sheep’s milk cheese and a bit of Cassate Siciliane, and nuts and dried fruit in honey were also given their première here. Wafer-flavoured ice cream also received a warm welcome.

The seminar also included the presentation of a range of equipment and machines dedicated to people conducting business activity within the industry. Some examples include: the Codelite soft ice cream machine which gives the possibility of producing ice cream with individual flavour and with added fresh fruit; coffee machines by La San Marci, an Italian company; and a machine for the quick and easy preparation of cooling cocktails, the Granita slush machines.

This year’s Gelato Seminars were very popular - we would like to thank all the visitors for making them such a wonderful experience. We also hope that the knowledge acquired during this year’s seminars will result in an increase in the quality of your products and will make the services provided by your companies even more attractive.
